6 Months with a Laser Arm Scanner
Since the purchase of our Faro Platinum Arm in July, we have had the flexibility to be able to scan and inspect jobs without having to move them off the shop floor. Having been able to cut our conventional methods of digitising on cnc machines down by over 75% whilst achieving a more accurate result.
We have found that there is no limit to job size in application and because we are able to scan on site, the cost savings that are passed on to our customers are considerable taking into account production down-time and transport costs. We offer an emergency service to scan broken tools 24hrs a day with the target of a three day turn-around. Scanning has opened up new avenues for us in the medical and aerospace industry whilst being able to offer a more varied service to our existing customers.
We offer a world class service producing; nurbs, iges and fully surfaced model data, from the scans, as well as inspection reports and comparisons to original CAD. It is a fully portable system meaning that you can be safe in the knowledge that your products do not have to leave your site while we are performing the scan. All of our customers that have received a demonstration have been astounded at the speed and accuracy of the service.
